July Reading List - FULL

Five books have been accepted for the month of July, and can be found under the Reading List tab.

What does this mean for other queries? I will look at them and consider TWO books for the month of August, as pre-requests. However, there is no guarantee of any review after July, as I start school again in August and I may be busy.

Thanks to all the people who send queries, and I will try to get reviews out soon!

Starting: Shadowcursed by Gelo R. Fleisher

Bolen is a thief, plying his trade under the spires of an ancient and sprawling city. Worried that he's growing too old, Bolen has lined up a risky job, just to prove that he can still pull one off.
Tonight, he's going to break into a nobleman's vault and help himself to its contents. What he doesn't know is that inside is the key to a secret as old as the city itself.
Kings have killed for it, demons have coveted it, priests have prayed for it, and in a few moments it will be in his hands. And when it is, the adventure of his life will begin.

Sin Undone by Larissa Ione (A Demonica Novel)

Genre: Paranormal Romance
Page Count: 400
Short Synopsis (taken from Amazon):
             HER TOUCH IS DEADLY
As the only female Seminus demon ever born, master assassin Sinead Donnelly is used to being treated like an outcast. She spent decades enslaved, and now vows she'll die before she'll relinquish her freedom again. Then Sin's innate ability to kill her enemies goes awry: She creates a lethal new werewolf virus that sparks a firestorm of panic and violence.
            HIS HUNGER CAN'T BE DENIED
Half-werewolf, half-vampire Conall Dearghul is charged with bringing in Sin to face punishment for the plague. And she's no stranger: He's bound to her by blood, and the one sexual encounter they shared has left him hungering for her raw sensuality. Worse, Sin is the underworld's most wanted and Con soon learns he's the only one who can help her . . . and that saving her life might mean sacrificing his own.

Review:

So I'm a sucker for a good paranormal romance. I really am. And Larissa Ione takes the world as we know it and makes it her own. She takes everything we've ever known about the paranormal and makes it unique (not in the Stephanie Meyer way, though). And the best thing is, she creates believable characters who take you on a ride of feels that keeps you turning the pages.

What I love about novels like these is it's not just about the sex. Sure that's part of it, as well as the falling in love with someone, but I digress. It's about finding yourself in a character and rooting for that character to have the ending they deserve (even though you know they're going to, I mean come on. Since when has one of these ended badly?). And what Ione does is she brings Sin, the main character and a one of a kind demon, through so much character development in those 400 pages that she's almost a totally different person at the end.

What's even better is that Sin isn't your typical damsel in distress. And there is nothing that makes me happier than female assassins. Seriously, they are so wonderful, it's crazy. They're strong, lethal, and not afraid to let you know. But they still have that chance to be soft, even when the world has made them so hard.

Though this is the fifth book in the series, I would totally recommend it to any who like paranormal fiction or romance. It's funny, biting, moving and downright entertaining as hell.
